Welcome
The Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens
are not merely a container of museums (the Palatine Gallery, the Gallery
of Modern Art amd Costume Museum, the Royal Apartments, the Argenti
and Porcelain Museums) but are a world to be explored in all its variety
and complexity - a world of frescoes, sculpture, decoration, furnishings
and tapestries – forming an intrinsic part of this historical
and artistic complex, which was the pride and joy of three dynasties:
the Medici, the Lorraine and the Savoy families. We invite you to
discover it, or to know it better through the guided visits to the
collections and exhibitions, and other events, organised by the “Friends
